Today's tasks have been registering on the Federal Procurement websites. I have a DUNS number, and now 42nd Street is registered on the Federal CCR website. The next step is beginning the HUDZone and 8a certifications completed . It is suppose to take approximately 3 to 4 month to get a HUDZone certification.
Other main tasks completed include getting professional liability insurance, an accountant is now on board, and made my initial deposit for working cash.
Next tasks include: business cards, and setting up the office to take advantage of technology and reduce the amount of paper used.

Creating a Company
42nd Street Design Studio is an upstart Landscape Architecture company. My name is Michael Stanley and I have decided to, even in this economic environment, create and open my own design firm. I am officially on day 3. I have signed my corporate papers and created the company. The purpose of this blog, is to give a quick day to day writeup on the successes and failures of company creation. This is my first company and i have plowed everything i have into it.
So far, much of my time is spent filling documents, opening bank accounts, updating professional licenses, and getting a home office set up. Now that much of that is complete, the marketing begins.
